2026-07-06 · Laser Marking, Identification
Serial numbers. Logos. QR codes. Barcodes. If your metal part needs identification, laser marking is the answer. Unlike traditional engraving or pad printing, laser marking is permanent, precise, and consumable-free.
Laser marking engraves directly into the metal surface. It won't fade, rub off, or wear away — even under heat, corrosion, or abrasion. This matters for part tracking, warranty work, and compliance.
No ink. No solvents. No stamps or dies to replace. Once the laser is set up, marking each part costs virtually nothing. Your costs are in the laser time and your file — not ongoing supplies.
Our fiber laser can mark characters as small as 0.1mm, with depths from 0.001mm to 0.5mm. That means QR codes readable by smartphones, barcodes that scan first-time, and serial numbers that last the life of the part.
Marking a serial number takes milliseconds. Marking a full QR code takes a few seconds. Compare that to pad printing (setup, ink, drying) or traditional engraving (slow tool movement). For production runs, the time savings are significant.
Works on virtually any metal — stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, brass, copper, carbon steel. Different materials and settings create different mark colors (annealing, foaming, deep engraving), giving you flexibility in the look and feel.
Need marks on your parts? We mark on laser-cut blanks, CNC-machined parts, or anything else you bring to our Vernon shop. Send a vector file or just describe what you need.
